We invite a contractor who carries deep cultural grounding, strategic insight and a heart for whānau wellbeing. Your mahi will help open pathways for healing, resourcing and community uplift. You will weave together pūtea, relationships and kaupapa - ensuring our projects are resourced in ways that honour tikanga and protect the mauri of our work. Your professional fees will be included within the budgets your prepare, reflecting the value of your expertise.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Funding, Grants & Procurement Coordinator, you will:

  • Identify, prepare and submit funding & grant applications
  • Develop budgets & supporting documentation, including your contractor fees
  • Manage procurement processes (sourcing, quotes, supplier relationships, value aligned purchasing)
  • Maintain reporting schedules and ensure compliance with funder and procurement requirements
  • Provide strategiv advice aligned with kaupapa Māori values & organisational priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders, suppliers and kaupapa Māori partners

This is a deliverables based independent contractor role, with flexible hours and remote friendly work arrangements.

 

ABOUT YOU

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in funding, grants, procurements and project coordination
  • Strong budgeting, writing and organisational capability
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow as a contractor
  • Deep cultural competence and confidence engaging in kaupapa Māori environments
  • Understanding of tikanga, te reo Māori and Māori models of wellbeing
  • A values based approach that upholds mana, whanaungatanga and hapori wellbeing

NOTE: This role requires a high level of cultural knowledge, lived experience and fluency in kaupapa Māori ways of working. Applicants will need to demonstrate this capability as part of the selection process.
